Special Events in Vancouver

One of Vancouver, British Columbia's most popular events is the annual Cherry Blossom Festival. This wonderful celebration is held each year during the month of April. The festival offers a variety of live music as well as local cuisine booths. Food and beverage vendors are located throughout the premisis. The Global Relay Gastown Grand Prix is an adrenaline-charged global cycling race held during the second week of July. Located in the cobblestoned streets of historic Gastown, the breathtaking cycling competition is a legendary event. This is a professional circuit race allowing spectators free admission. Various food and beverage vendors are on site, throughout the cycling course. There is plenty of parking available. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets.

Experience the culture of an authentic Aboriginal Summer Village. Each year from the end of June through the middle of September the Klahowya Village in Stanley Park, Vancouver opens to the public. Providing cultural music and dance, guests may also enjoy original cuisine and art. A touring train is available as well. The annual Harmony Arts Festival is located in quaint Ambleside, West Vancouver during the first two weeks of August. From wine and culinary tastings to over 70 musical bands and performers, this magnificent 10-day event provides beautiful ocean views while enjoying the exciting atmosphere. Nando's Canada Cup of Beer Festival takes pride in being the largest beer festival in Vancouver, British Columbia. Held at Swangard Stadium for two days during the second weekend in July, this enormous festival offers over 150 beers from all points on the globe. Guests may enjoy live musical bands and a wide variety of food booths situated throughout the stadium. Admission tickets are available for purchase at the entrance to the stadium as well as on-line. *Absolutely no children, minors or pets are allowed into the festival.
